The 30-second answer

Start on Free. Move to Starter the moment you need more than 1,000 records or want email integration and dashboard charts. Move to Professional for custom roles, teams, and the full DSA toolkit. Enterprise is for businesses with large teams, dedicated support needs, or contracted SLAs.

When to upgrade

Common upgrade triggers:

  • You’re approaching the Free plan’s 1,000-record limit → Starter
  • You want email integration or dashboard charts → Starter
  • You need custom roles, teams, or the DSA toolkit (loan files, splits, disbursals) → Professional
  • You hit your plan’s custom-field or pipeline limit → next tier up
  • You want a contracted SLA → Enterprise
  • You need a dedicated customer success manager → Enterprise

How to upgrade

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Change plan
  3. Pick Starter or Professional
  4. Enter number of paid seats
  5. Add payment method (UPI, card, or net banking)
  6. Confirm — the upgrade is immediate

For Enterprise, click Contact sales — pricing depends on team size, modules needed, and SLA requirements.

Downgrading

You can downgrade to a lower tier at any time. Caveats:

  • If you have more users than the target plan allows, deactivate the extras first
  • If you have more pipelines than the target plan allows, archive the extras first
  • Custom fields beyond the target plan’s limit get marked read-only (data preserved; not editable until you upgrade again)

Common questions

“What happens if I don’t pay?”

On a paid plan, if a renewal fails, you have 14 days of grace before the workspace downgrades to Free. During grace, full paid-tier features remain — TatvaCRM emails you reminders. After grace, the workspace downgrades and paid-tier features become read-only.

“Can I cancel anytime?”

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing. On annual plans, your access continues until the end of the paid period (no refund for unused months by default — contact support for exceptions).

“If I have two workspaces, do I pay twice?”

Yes — each workspace has its own plan. Two workspaces on a paid plan = two separate subscriptions, each with its own seat count and billing.
