TatvaCRM vs Zoho CRM: an honest 2026 comparison for Indian SMBs

One has 200+ extensions, AI, and a 30-year track record. The other is half the price, ships native DSA workflows, and you can be live in 30 minutes. Here is what actually matters when choosing between them.

The TL;DR

  • Pricing: TatvaCRM Starter is ₹449/user/mo, Professional is ₹999/user/mo, no minimum seat count. Zoho Standard is ₹800/user/mo and Professional ₹1,400/user/mo on annual billing — usually with a 3-user minimum on most paid features.
  • BFSI/DSA: TatvaCRM ships native loan files, commission splits, tranche disbursals, document checklists, and lender network management on Pro+. Zoho can do this with custom modules and Blueprints, but it takes weeks of consulting.
  • Trials: TatvaCRM offers a permanently-free tier (3 users, 2,000 records) plus a 30-day trial on paid plans. Zoho offers 15 days on paid plans.
  • When to pick Zoho: you need Zia AI, workflow automation, the Zoho One bundle (Mail/Books/People), or a mature mobile app. When to pick TatvaCRM: you want clean pricing per seat, modern stack, and a CRM your DSA / NBFC / insurance team will actually open every morning.

Who is Zoho CRM?

Zoho CRM is part of Zoho Corporation, founded in 1996 in Chennai. What started as a single web-based office suite has grown into one of the largest privately held software companies in the world, with over 55 products under the Zoho One umbrella. Zoho CRM alone serves more than 250,000 businesses across 180 countries.

The product is deep. Sales automation, marketing automation, an AI assistant called Zia, territory management, custom modules, Blueprints for process enforcement, and a marketplace with over 200 extensions. If you can dream up a workflow, Zoho can probably build it — given enough time and a competent admin.

That depth is both its greatest strength and, for smaller teams, its biggest challenge. Zoho CRM was designed to scale from five users to five thousand. The interface, the settings, and the pricing all reflect that ambition. A 10-person insurance agency in Jaipur and a 500-person logistics firm in Mumbai get the same product. Whether that is a good thing depends on which one you are.

Who is TatvaCRM?

TatvaCRM is built by Tatva Fintech Private Limited, based in Pune. It is a multi-tenant SaaS CRM built for global SMBs but designed India-first — ₹ formatting, DD/MM dates, GSTIN/PAN handling, and a deep, native workflow for India's loan distribution sector (DSAs, NBFCs, insurance, MFDs).

The thesis: most SMBs do not need a CRM that does 200 things. They need one that does the core ten things really well — contacts, companies, deals, leads, tasks, activities, pipelines, dashboards, custom fields, RBAC — without a three-week setup process or a per-user pricing trap that punishes every new hire.

On the BFSI side, TatvaCRM Pro+ ships things no general-purpose CRM has out of the box: loan files (1:N from applicant), tranche disbursals capped at sanctioned amount, configurable commission split templates by product/lender, document checklists matched on product + employment + lender, lender network management, and sub-DSA hierarchy. This is a real product wedge, not a brochure claim.

Stack: Next.js 15 + NestJS + Neon Postgres + Vercel. Modern, fast, no legacy weight. Page loads typically under 500ms.

Zoho CRM pricing comparison 2026

Both products use per-user-per-month pricing. The differences are in the rates, the minimums, and what each tier includes.

Zoho CRM pricing (billed annually)

  • Free: 3 users, basic contacts and deals, severe limits on most modules
  • Standard: ₹800/user/month — scoring rules, workflows, custom dashboards
  • Professional: ₹1,400/user/month — Blueprints, inventory, validation rules
  • Enterprise: ₹2,400/user/month — Zia AI, custom modules, multi-user portals
  • Ultimate: ₹2,600/user/month — advanced BI, enhanced storage
  • 15-day free trial. Most paid features have a 3-user minimum.

TatvaCRM pricing

  • Free: ₹0 — 3 users, 2,000 records, full pipeline, kanban, tasks, activities
  • Starter: ₹449/user/month or $12 — 10,000 records, CSV import, email send + log, dashboards, 20 email templates
  • Professional: ₹999/user/month or $24 — 50,000 records, custom roles, teams, API access, full DSA toolkit, 100 email templates
  • Enterprise: Talk to us — 500,000 records, unlimited custom fields, unlimited templates, dedicated support
  • 30-day free trial on paid plans, no card. Annual = 2 months free (₹4,490 / ₹9,990 per user).
  • No minimum seat count. Buy 1 seat or 100, the per-user rate is the same.

What 5, 10, 25 and 50 users actually cost

Per-user pricing sounds harmless until you multiply. Here is the real annual cost on each platform's mid tier (TatvaCRM Professional vs Zoho Professional, annual billing, excluding 18% GST):

Team sizeZoho Professional /yrTatvaCRM Professional /yrYou save
5 users₹84,000₹49,950₹34,050
10 users₹1,68,000₹99,900₹68,100
25 users₹4,20,000₹2,49,750₹1,70,250
50 users₹8,40,000₹4,99,500₹3,40,500

And at entry tier (Zoho Standard vs TatvaCRM Starter, annual):

Team sizeZoho Standard /yrTatvaCRM Starter /yrYou save
5 users₹48,000₹22,450₹25,550
10 users₹96,000₹44,900₹51,100
25 users₹2,40,000₹1,12,250₹1,27,750
50 users₹4,80,000₹2,24,500₹2,55,500
💡Both tools charge per seat, so the savings are real money, not framing. A 10-user DSA team on Zoho Professional pays ₹1,68,000/year. The same team on TatvaCRM Professional pays ₹99,900/year — and gets the native loan file / commission split / disbursal workflow that Zoho does not have.

Zoho's higher tiers do include things TatvaCRM does not have yet (Zia AI, full workflow engine, marketplace extensions). If you actually need those, the price gap has context. If you do not, you are paying ~70% more for a feature shelf you will not touch. See the full TatvaCRM pricing page for the per-tier limits.

⚠️Feature count is a misleading metric. Zoho has more features because it has been built since 2005. The question is whether you will ever turn most of them on. Most SMBs use under 20% of any CRM's capabilities. Pay for the 20% you will use, not the 80% you will not.

Where Zoho wins

We are not pretending Zoho is bad. It is an excellent product that has earned its 250,000-customer base. Genuine strengths:

  • Ecosystem depth via Zoho One: CRM + Mail + Books + People + Projects + 50 other apps under one subscription. If you want a single vendor for the entire back office, Zoho is unmatched in India.
  • Workflow automation: Blueprints, approval processes, macros, and Deluge scripting let you codify complex sales rules without writing code. For regulated sales motions (compliance approvals, multi-stage credit), this is genuinely powerful.
  • Zia AI: deal closure prediction, anomaly detection, best-time-to-contact suggestions, auto-enrichment. Real, working AI — not a chat wrapper.
  • Marketplace: 200+ extensions covering DocuSign, Mailchimp, RingCentral, Slack, GoToMeeting, and the long tail of niche tools. If your ops depend on a third-party SaaS, Zoho probably already integrates with it.
  • Mature mobile apps: native iOS and Android, offline mode, business card scanner. For field sales teams, this matters a lot. TatvaCRM has no answer here.
  • Email sequences and bulk sending: Zoho Marketing Automation, SalesInbox, and Campaigns let you run real outbound cadences. TatvaCRM only does transactional email send + log.
  • Track record: 30 years of operation, audited security, big-customer references. For procurement teams that want vendor stability, Zoho carries weight TatvaCRM does not yet.
  • SSO / SAML / advanced compliance: needed by regulated enterprises. TatvaCRM does not have these today.
If you are a 100+ person company with a dedicated CRM admin, a multi-step compliance-driven sales process, and a need for the broader Zoho One bundle — pick Zoho. Full stop. We will not try to talk you out of it.

Where TatvaCRM wins

TatvaCRM was not built to replace Zoho for enterprise teams. It was built for the teams that try Zoho, get lost in the configuration, and quietly let the subscription lapse. Where it wins:

  • Per-seat pricing with no minimum: buy 1 seat, buy 100, the price is the same. No 3-user floor that punishes solo founders or 2-person agencies.
  • BFSI/DSA-native workflow: nothing in the Zoho marketplace ships loan files, commission splits, tranche disbursals, lender networks, and sub-DSA hierarchy out of the box. TatvaCRM Pro+ does. For DSAs and loan brokers this is the difference between a CRM that fits and one you fight every day.
  • Modern stack = faster pages: Next.js 15 + Neon Postgres + Vercel edge. Page loads under 500ms in India. Zoho is older, heavier, and noticeably slower on slow networks.
  • 30-minute setup: sign up, add team, import contacts, start selling. No Blueprints to design, no modules to build, no consultant to hire.
  • 30-day trial vs 15-day: actually enough time to make an informed decision, not a panicked weekend evaluation.
  • India support hours: questions answered during your working day, not Pacific Time.
  • Indian-first defaults: ₹ formatting, DD/MM dates, GSTIN and PAN handled natively. Small things that compound across a hundred screens.
  • Audit trail of CUD operations is logged at the platform level (the viewer UI is still on the roadmap, but the data is captured).

BFSI & DSA fit: where the gap is widest

This deserves its own section because it is the single biggest differentiator. India's loan distribution sector — DSAs, connectors, NBFC sales teams, MFDs, insurance brokers — has very specific workflow needs that no general-purpose CRM was designed for.

On TatvaCRM Pro+, you get these natively, not as customisations:

  • Applicants (contacts) with 1:N loan files. One person, many loan applications, each on its own pipeline.
  • Loan files linked to a specific lender from your managed lender network.
  • Tranche-by-tranche disbursal tracking with a hard cap at sanctioned amount, validated server-side.
  • Configurable commission split templates by product/employment/lender, auto-applied when a disbursal is recorded.
  • Document checklists matched 3-way: product + employment type + lender. Auto-instantiated on deal creation.
  • Lender network management with product-level metadata (rate, processing fee, eligibility).
  • Sub-DSA hierarchy with role-based visibility so a parent DSA can see sub-DSA performance without exposing competitor data.
  • Stage gates with required-fields-to-exit, role-based stage entry, and override-with-reason logging for audit.

On Zoho, every one of these requires custom modules, custom fields, Blueprints, Deluge functions, and ideally a Zoho partner consultant. Possible? Yes. Worth ₹3-8 lakh of consulting plus the higher per-seat pricing? For most DSAs, no.

💡If you run a DSA, NBFC sales team, or insurance brokerage, this is the section that should drive your decision — not the generic feature table. Pricing is a footnote next to fit.

Will your team actually use it?

The most expensive CRM is the one nobody opens. We have heard this story dozens of times: company signs up for Zoho, spends two weeks configuring, gets halfway through, realises the team is still in WhatsApp groups and Excel sheets, lets the subscription lapse.

Onboarding time

Zoho: 1-3 weeks to a productive setup, longer if you customise modules or build Blueprints. Most teams hire a partner. TatvaCRM: under 30 minutes from signup to first deal logged. No partner needed.

Learning curve

Zoho: deep, hierarchical settings menu. New sales reps typically need a half-day of training to be comfortable. TatvaCRM: ten primary screens (Contacts, Companies, Deals, Leads, Tasks, Activities, Dashboard, Settings, Pipelines, Roles). Most reps are productive after 15 minutes of poking around.

UI density

Zoho: dense, every pixel earns its keep, lots of menus and submenus. Power users love it. New users find it intimidating. TatvaCRM: calmer, more whitespace, fewer options visible at once. Less to discover, less to ignore.

Power without adoption is waste. A Honda City you drive every day is more valuable than a Mercedes in the garage. Same logic applies to CRM software — pick the tool your team will actually open every morning.

Migrating from Zoho CRM to TatvaCRM

If you are on Zoho and considering a switch, the migration is straightforward: export Contacts, Accounts, and Deals as CSV from Zoho, map columns to TatvaCRM's field names, import. A typical SMB with under 10,000 records is fully live in under an hour. Custom field data carries over as long as you create matching custom fields in TatvaCRM before importing.

We recommend running both CRMs in parallel for a week before cutting over. Use TatvaCRM's 30-day trial for the evaluation. Full step-by-step instructions are in our migrating from Zoho to TatvaCRM guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is TatvaCRM cheaper than Zoho CRM?

Yes, materially. TatvaCRM Starter is ₹449/user/month and Professional is ₹999/user/month, with no minimum seat count. Zoho Standard is ₹800/user/month and Professional ₹1,400/user/month on annual billing, with a 3-user minimum on most paid tiers. For a 10-user team, TatvaCRM Professional comes to ₹99,900/year vs Zoho Professional at ₹1,68,000/year — about 41% cheaper at the same tier.

Can I migrate from Zoho to TatvaCRM?

Yes. Export Contacts, Accounts, and Deals from Zoho as CSV, map the columns to TatvaCRM's fields, and import. A typical 10,000-record migration takes under an hour. See our migration guide.

Does TatvaCRM have everything Zoho has?

No. Zoho has workflow automation (Blueprints), Zia AI, the Marketplace with 200+ extensions, native mobile apps, email sequences, bulk sending, SSO/SAML, and the Zoho One bundle. TatvaCRM does not have those today. What TatvaCRM does have: contacts, companies, deals, leads, tasks, pipelines, custom fields, RBAC, teams, dashboards, email send/log, API access, and a complete native DSA loan-broker workflow.

Which is better for DSA or loan-broker businesses?

TatvaCRM, by a wide margin. The Pro tier ships loan files, commission split templates, tranche disbursals, document checklists, lender network management, and sub-DSA support natively. In Zoho, all of these have to be assembled with custom modules and Blueprints — possible, but typically ₹3-8 lakh of consulting work, and you still end up with a generic CRM wearing a DSA costume.

Does TatvaCRM offer a free trial?

Two options: a permanently-free Free plan (3 users, 2,000 records, no card) and a 30-day free trial on Starter and Professional (also no card). Zoho offers 15 days on paid plans.

Does TatvaCRM have a mobile app?

Not yet. TatvaCRM is responsive web — works fine in a phone browser, but no native iOS/Android app. Zoho has mature mobile apps with offline mode. If your team works heavily in the field with patchy connectivity, this is a genuine point in Zoho's favour.

Does TatvaCRM support workflow automation like Zoho Blueprints?

Not currently. TatvaCRM has stage-based gates — required fields to exit a stage, role-based stage entry, soft warnings with override-and-log audit trail — but no full workflow engine, macros, or Deluge-style scripting. If your sales process needs automated branching logic and multi-step approvals, Zoho wins.

Where is TatvaCRM hosted? Is it fast?

TatvaCRM runs on Neon Postgres (serverless) and Vercel's edge network. Page loads typically under 500ms from anywhere in India. Modern stack — Next.js 15, NestJS, schema-per-tenant Postgres — means new features ship faster than on Zoho's older monolithic platform.

Our honest recommendation

We built TatvaCRM, so we are biased — but we have no interest in selling it to people it does not fit. Here is the honest split, based on Zoho's pricing page (verified 26 April 2026):

Pick Zoho CRM if:

  • You have 50+ users and need territory management, advanced sharing rules, or SAML SSO
  • Your sales process requires multi-step workflow automation, approval chains, or Deluge scripting
  • You want Zia's AI for deal scoring, anomaly detection, and contact-time predictions
  • You depend on third-party tools (DocuSign, Mailchimp, RingCentral, etc.) that exist in the Zoho Marketplace
  • You want one vendor for CRM, mail, accounting, HR, and project management (Zoho One)
  • You need a mature native mobile app with offline mode for field sales

Pick TatvaCRM if:

  • You are a 3-50 person SMB and per-seat pricing without a minimum matters to your unit economics
  • You run a DSA, NBFC, MFD, or insurance brokerage and want native loan files, commissions, and disbursals on day one
  • You want a CRM your team can be productive on in 30 minutes, not three weeks
  • You want a 30-day trial — not 15 — to make a real decision
  • You value a modern, fast stack (Next.js, Neon, Vercel) over a 30-year-old monolith
  • You are tired of paying for 200 features your team will never configure
Best CRM is the one your team uses every day. Not the one with the most features, not the one with the biggest brand, definitely not the one your investor recommended.

Still on the fence? Try both. Zoho has a 15-day trial. TatvaCRM has a permanently-free tier and a 30-day trial. Sign up, import a hundred contacts each, and after a week you will know which one your team gravitates toward. That tells you more than any comparison page — including this one. Or check our full comparison hub for side-by-sides against HubSpot and Salesforce too.
